This Privacy Policy describes how Lira (“the app”) handles information when you use our mobile application.

Who we are

Information we process

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Account information — such as email address and display name when you sign in (including with Google Sign-In).
• Family and expense data — information you enter in the app (for example categories, expenses, budgets, and family group membership) stored to provide the service.
• Device tokens for notifications — a push notification token may be stored so we can send alerts (for example when a shared family budget is exceeded), if you enable notifications.
• App diagnostics — Firebase/Google services may collect limited technical and diagnostic data as described in their policies.

Optional features

• Biometric lock — if you enable it, authentication may use your device’s biometric APIs; biometric data is handled by your device and not stored by us.
• Voice input — if you use speech features, audio may be processed on your device and/or by platform speech services according to your device settings.
• In-app purchases (Lira Pro) — when you buy or restore Pro, the app sends the information required for verification (for example a purchase token or store transaction reference) to our backend on Google Firebase (Cloud Functions). We use it only to confirm the purchase with Google or Apple and to record that your account (or family group, where applicable) is entitled to Pro. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; payment is processed by the store.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the app;
• Authenticate you and keep your data associated with your account;
• Sync data across your devices and with family members you choose to connect with;
• Send notifications you opt into (for example reminders or budget alerts).

Service providers

The app uses Google Firebase (including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging) and related Google services to operate sign-in, storage, backend logic, and notifications. Google’s privacy information is available at Google Privacy Policy.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service.

Deleting your account (in the app)

You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your Firebase Authentication account and deletes your user profile document (for example name, email, preferences, and notification tokens we stored under your user ID). If you were a member of a family group, we update that group’s member count accordingly.

Shared family data: Expense and category records you created while in a shared family group may remain in that group’s data so other members can keep an accurate history. Those records may still show information you entered (for example amount, description, or display name stored on the expense). If you need that content removed, delete those items in the app before deleting your account, or contact us at the email above.

You may also request deletion or corrections by emailing us at the address above, subject to applicable law and technical constraints.

Children

Lira is not intended for children under the age required by your region without parental involvement. If you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located in various countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
